“IN” THE WORLD, NOT “OF” THE WORLD

Since we live “in” the world, it’s easy to start living “like” the world. Instead of thinking heavenly and Godly thoughts, sometimes our minds are fixed upon the environment of the sinful, fallen world in which we live. But in our scripture verse for today we are reminded to lift our minds above the earth, above our circumstances, and above any discouragement or ungodliness, and set our thoughts on the greater things of the Lord. Here’s a Bible verse that reminds us to think about higher things. “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:2)
