ABILITY or AVAILABILITY?
“God does not need your ability, only your availability!” In Jeremiah chapter one in the Bible the young prophet heard a call from God to go to difficult places and deliver difficult messages. But whenever the Lord truly calls you to a task He will give you the resources to accomplish His will. No matter how young or old you are, no matter how rich or poor, or how exceptional or ordinary, it is not our talent or ability that is key. God’s will is the driver of our lives. So as you read the book of Jeremiah chapter one in the Bible passage below, make yourself available to the Lord however He desires to use you.
(Jeremiah 1) 4 The word of the Lord came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” 6 “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” 7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
