So you’re looking for a laptop computer and don’t know where to start. Other sites speak a confusing language about processing speed, RAM memory, hard drives, and graphics cards. All this is like a foreign language to you. All you need is a computer to answer email, surf the web, and watch an occasional YouTube video. Or you need an entry-level gift for a student to do his or her homework. And…you don’t want to spend too much money.
With that in mind, I’ve prepared a list of the top five computers that should work very nicely for you. They are reliable, reasonably fast for every day usage, sturdy, fairly inexpensive, and flexible enough to do all the basic things a normal user needs done. Just consult the list below and say goodbye to the geeks on the other sites with all of their gobbledy-gook. I’ve done all the work for you. Click on any of the paragraphs below and “happy shopping!”
Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop with a 15.6 inch screen, high definition display, great speed and graphics, and pre-loaded with all the basic software you will need. Includes Windows 10 operating system. And, a great buy at around $320.00 dollars.
Hewlett Packard “Newest” Laptop for Business and Students comes with a 14 inch high definition screen and all the speed and toughness that you need. Has plenty of memory for basic usages, and comes in at about $350.00 dollars.
The Hewlett Packard 2020 HP listed here is faster, has more memory, and has a bigger screen than the version above, and it is a touchscreen. These improvements come with a cost, though, so this laptop will set you back about $640.00 bucks.
The ASUS VivoBook is thin and light and sports a very nice 15.6 inch high definition screen. It has all the speed, power, and resolution to do most anything that an entry-level user would need to do. Again all these computers are Windows 10 based, but if you are in the mood for an Apple/Macintosh, then then take a look at the computer recommendation right after this one! About $380 bucks!
The new MacBook Air is small in size and convenience, with a 13-inch scree, super speed and plenty of storage. And hey, it’s a Mac so may be worth the extra price at around $830.00 dollars!
